Tommy Wayne Ellison

Tommy Wayne Ellison, 54, of Ten Mile, died Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, in Ten Mile.

He was of the Baptist faith, and was a member of Machinist Union Local 1758. He retired from TVA after 30 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Babette Oliver Ellison of Ten Mile; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Courtney Ellison of Ten Mile, and Chett Hensley of Athens; two daughters, Jennifer Ellison of Dayton, and Chrissie Hensley of Ten Mile; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Rita Ellison of Ten Mile; one sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Donald Simmons of Ten Mile; five grandchildren, Kellan Ellison, Savannah Jett, Jerome Dyer, Abi Pendergrass and Alyssa Pendergrass; his honorable mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bonnie and Phillip Oliver; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Scott and Doris Oliver and Chad and Cyndi Oliver; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Couch officiating. Burial will follow in Runyon Cemetery at Twin Eagle Farm in Ten Mile.

Pallbearers will be Sammy Norton, Mark Irwin, Norman Jolly, Andrew Ellison, Michael Ellison, David Ellison and Allen Simmons. Honorary pallbearers will be Arnold Roberts, Jerry Walden, Darrell Walden, Chris Walden and Adam Walden.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bowers Funeral Home.
