A United Way grant is helping get area youth "OnTRAC."
Administered by Full Circle Women's Services, OnTRAC is an abstinence-based healthy lifestyle education program designed for middle school and high school students initiated in local schools earlier this year. OnTRAC stands for "Teaching teens Responsibility And Consequences," which is the ultimate vision of the program.

Athens Federal Community Bank and Bid to Buy Auction House of Etowah nearly doubled last year's take during their annual charity auction for the Relay for Life.
Held Saturday, April 28, the auction raised $5,008 to benefit the McMinn County Relay for Life, which will be held this Friday night at Athens Regional Park.
